Columbia Basin Trust

Columbia Basin Trust (CBT) is committed to working with Basin residents to improve their understanding of and involvement in water.

The Columbia River Treaty Digital Library (CRTDL) is a collection of materials and documents about the Columbia River Treaty (CRT), including the events leading up to its signing in 1961 and subsequent ratification in 1964 through to its current application and future potential changes.

Created by Columbia Basin Trust (CBT), the CRTDL is an education tool designed to help Columbia Basin residents build their understanding and awareness around the CRT. The currently available resources on the CRT include government reports and records, meeting notes, academic research reports, personal papers, maps and photographic collections from many sources.

The effort to locate and digitize pertinent archival collections is ongoing and the library will be continuously updated with new material. Please check back regularly and discover our featured items.

Columbia Basin Trust supports efforts by the people of the Basin to create a legacy of social, economic
and environmental well-being and to achieve greater self-sufficiency for present and future generations.
